Elk Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care is proud to announce its new partnership with Select Rehabilitation, an esteemed on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy company.

The stress and worry from family members of an elderly loved one experiencing a fall alone in their homes or being unable to move as efficiently is alleviated thanks to Elk Creek’s and Select Rehabilitation’s partnership.  

Select Rehabilitation will provide on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as fall prevention technologies to improve residents’ strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance to heighten their quality of life. The therapists will also partner with pharmacy providers and physicians to ensure medications or existing conditions are not influencing falls.

Physical therapy in particular has been shown to improve strength, balance, and flexibility among seniors. According to a national study by the American Physical Therapy Association, it can reduce the risk of falls by up to 40 percent and alleviate pain while enhancing cardiovascular health and functional ability.
