Hillsboro, Texas—Hill College will host its 18th annual Boots & Suits event April 20, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the James Event Center in Joshua, Texas. This annual event celebrates and supports higher education locally by raising scholarship funds exclusively for students in the Hill College service area. The Hill College community always looks forward to this event as an opportunity to support current and future students, but also to spend time with community members and show appreciation for all of those who support Hill College.

“Yvonne and I look forward to attending our first Boots & Suits event. This fundraiser is so important to our students and we appreciate the generosity of the sponsors and guests who support the college. Many students who attend Hill College would not be able to do so without the help of our scholarship programs, and this annual event contributes generously toward that goal,” said Hill College President Dr. Thomas Mills.

Community support of Boots & Suits strengthens Hill College’s ability to lead students toward success. Each year, Hill College serves over 5,000 students who want to advance their education.

This year, the event will again feature a signature drink, a prickly pear margarita. The event is come and go; heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided, along with a variety of beer and wine. The event will also include the popular Whiskey & Wine Toss and Mystery Bag game.

There is still time to support Hill College students. Businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in sponsoring Boots & Suits have several partnership levels to choose from, including Presenting Partner for $7,000; Gold Partner for $5,000; Silver Partner for $3,000; Bronze Partner for $1,000; and Partner for $500. Individual tickets are also available for $60 per person.

President Dr. Thomas Mills and the Hill College staff would like to thank our upper-level sponsors this year so far:

At the Presenting Partner level—Citizens National Bank of Texas.

At the Gold Partner level—Pinnacle Bank and Mustang Foundation.

In addition to providing scholarship funds, each sponsorship level offers benefits to sponsors, including special recognition before, during, and after the event.
