As housing, food, and fuel rates rise, Harvest House plans to meet the needs of the community, and H-E-B has joined their efforts.

H-E-B has contributed to the good work being done at Harvest House in Burleson, where staff and volunteers provide food, clothing, and financial assistance more than 12,000 times each year. The food store chain has generously donated funds to aid Harvest House in achieving their mission.

The 38-year-old nonprofit not only receives funding from local residents, businesses, and foundations but also through their own organizational fundraising events. H-E-B’s donation will go toward Harvest House’s 2023 fundraisers such as the Vineyard Vibes Festival, set for April 23.

Open to the public, Vineyard Vibes is a community event featuring entertainment from local up & coming artists, along with food trucks and vendor booths. It is held at the beautiful Lost Oak Winery in Burleson with proceeds benefitting Harvest House.

As housing, food, and fuel rates rise, the financial needs of Johnson and portions of Tarrant County residents have changed, Harvest House Executive Director Jennifer Woods said more people are seeking temporary assistance. In addition, this area of the country has seen an influx of people moving in from all over the nation. Harvest House invites local residents to attend Vineyard Vibes and to have an enjoyable time while supporting their neighbors who may be going through a tough time.

“We are ever grateful for those who support our efforts to help ensure families in our community have clothes to wear, a roof over their head, food on their table, and basic utilities to stay warm,” Woods said. “It takes a village to accomplish this, and we cannot complete our mission without community partners.” Through partnerships with funders such as H-E-B, the efforts of Harvest House are multiplied, and our community becomes stronger.

Harvest House’s food pantry and offices are at 349 NW Renfro St. in Burleson. Their resale shop, which is open to the public, is at 101 NE Wilshire. Visit their website for hours and information, or to learn more about Vineyard Vibes 2023.
