June 21 is "The Longest Day" of the year, due to being Summer Solstice. The Alzheimer's Association runs "The Longest Day," and Elk Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care is happy to partner. This day is designed to create awareness for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias to show support and raise funds for this disease, as anyone living with this disease or caring for someone with Alzheimer's knows that every day feels like the longest day.
Elk Creek is hosting a Summer Bash and Luau with Hawaaian-themed activities all day long, including grass skirt-making, lei-making, Hawaiian history, hula lessons, and our grand finale, our luau from 4:00-6:00pm. We will have professional hula dancers and performers, a Hawaiian buffet, and snow cones. If your heart desires to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, you may do that, but this is a free event. Come join the fun! Family-friendly and open to the public! RSVP helpful.
